New: Case Update Active User Detection
Sometimes, when multiple people are reviewing or editing case updates at the same time, its easy to step on other peoples toes and accidentally edit the same record. Trackops now offers active user detection to better alert staff when other people are reviewing the same update.
- When viewing or editing a case update, the system will now alert you if other people are viewing or editing the same update.
- Users are considered idle if they haven't been active on the screen within a two minute grace period.
New: Trackops AI Services Now Available in Canada
- Customers in the Canadian data center can now take advantage of Trackops AI features, which are enabled by default:
- Before using these features, please review the AI Data Privacy and Service Availability documentation.
- It is possible to enable or disable AI Features system wide via your User Security Settings.
Updated: Improved Filename Support
- Case files now preserve the user provided filename (when possible) when downloaded to the computer.
- Generated zip files now preserve user provided filenames (when possible).
- The ability to edit the underlying Filename has been removed, as this feature is no longer necessary.
Updated: Easier Settings Customization
- The settings module has been improved for better visibility and more a consistent editing experience.
- When working with settings that contain template variables, Trackops now offers the ability to auto-complete variables as you type, making the editing process easier and less prone to mistakes.
- Example: When editing a notification template, if the user begins to type a variable (i.e. {{Case) the system will provide a list of variables to choose from.
Updated: Advanced Search on Staff and Client Contacts
- It is now possible to use the advanced search on both staff and client contact lists. This allows user the ability search by a wider variety of criteria, including date created.
- The ability to save searches now exists on both staff and client contact lists.
Updated: Multi-Category Document Template Variables
- It is now possible to add multiple case update categories into a single template variable. This allows users the flexibility to generate multiple updates in various categories, yet still list include them chronologically in a single run of updates.

Other Enhancements
- It is now possible to attach ".mhtml" files to cases and updates.
- It is now possible to fetch, create, and renew staff licenses via the developer API.
- Trackops now supports the "NL" province code (Canada).
- "Name" style custom fields now offer field variants for use in document templates, update presets, and applicable notification templates. In addition to the full name variable that already exists, each name field now includes template variables for the following data points:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Middle Name
- Document templates now support custom field variables associated with the primary investigator.
- Manually generating links on files now respects the File Download Expiration setting, configured in your General Case Settings.
- Configuring the File Download Expiration setting has been updated to use a convenient dropdown menu.
- Lists now contain the ability to jump forward 10 pages and backward 10 pages, making it easier to jump ahead without multiple clicks. In addition, the paging functionality is now available on both the top and bottom of list pages.
