What's New in Trackops: October 2026

New: AI Case Summaries

  • Trackops now offers auto-generated AI case summaries.  Case summaries reside on the overview of the case and are designed to provide a quick summary of the assignment, case progress, and next steps.
  • AI case summaries are fully customizable using AI Summary Presets, and are configured on each case type, giving you the flexibility to generate unique summarization for each specific type of case you work.
  • To enable automatic AI case summaries, click into a case type and look for the AI Summary Preset option. A default/example preset has been provided, but can easily be replaced or altered via AI Summary Presets configuration.
  • AI Case Summaries are generated whenever a case update is posted or when the case status changes.

New: Reimbursable & Non-Reimbursable Expenses

  • Trackops now allows expense items to be configured as reimbursable or non-reimbursable.  This allows staff to submit time and expenses that are not meant to be reimbursed, such as expenses charged to a company credit card without worrying about how these will affect payroll or other reimbursements.
  • Payment Slips now only take into account reimbursable time and expenses.
  • Applicable expense reports can now be filtered by reimbursable or non-reimbursable expenses.

API Endpoint Updates

AI Model Enhancements

  • GPT AI models have been updated to use GPT 6.0, improving accuracy on large rule sets.
  • Trackops can now better summarize PDF documents larger than 300 pages.
  • Trackops can now accept up to 300k characters for analysis and summary generation when applying AI Summary Presets directly on case updates while in edit mode.
  • PDF files now use GPT for analysis when available.

Other Enhancements

  • The Vendor List now has optional columns for City and State, which can be customized on the list.
  • Custom Assign Type terminology has been incorporated into search forms for easier recognition.
  • The Case List now has optional columns for Unbilled Hours and Unbilled Expenses.  These columns will quickly show you outstanding expenses from the list.
  • Searching for cases with un-billed expenses has been improved to include all unlinked expenses across all time and expenses, regardless of if they are billable or not.
  • Timezone support has been updated to support new Canadian DST changes.
  • Expense entries now include the payment slip associated with the entry (if applicable).
  • Email style custom fields now automatically include the case email as a CC when clicking them, so when someone replies all, the response ends up back in the case as a case update.
  • Licenses are no longer automatically deleted when a staff member is deleted.
  • Trackops now supports CSV files for importing clients and contacts when onboarding from other systems. Contact support for assistance.
